Project Vision

Gamer one is a game coaching service that primarily allows for users to get guidance of a certain game in just a press of a button. With current Game coaching apps available on stores , a user can't get quick and effective guide in few click and most of them are outdated. Game One aims for quick and effecient guide by removing unneccessary units from the application and more focus on live game situation where you need to think fast

Challenges

1- Creating a clean and proffessional Interface

2- Making a fast and easy to access navigation

3- Allowing users to cover their favourite game in every aspect

4- Removing useless interfaces so user can interact with app as fast as possible

KICK OFF

Starting off, I asked myself a few initial questions. Who is our primary user? What kind of goals do they have? Why would someone want to use this application? Just how large of a scope do I want this project to be? After interviewing four participants to establish archetypes later on, it became evident that the goals they wanted to accomplish all fell within the same categories; finding out more about their listening habits & identifying more of the music they like.

Competitive Analysis

In order to construct a concise and solid foundation for Gamer One. I had examine and research about other game coaching sites and application which were in store right now.

But one thing i realise there were no application for mobile that could easily be access without opening browser. but removing that fact. I compare few of the web-application that are trending right now.

These application were Blitz, Proguide.com and GameLeap.com

.

All of them have great modern ui design but only one of them was possible to be used without paying anything. some asian country doesnt provide service of coaching too, so I try finding something that was rare in all three app . and that lead me to solid foundation of Gamer One

Prioritization Plotting

Plotting a list of the possible features onto a graph helped narrow down what was absolutely crucial for delivering the mvp and would could be built upon further down the road. A big draw of using this application is to be able to get game lineups and trick in instance when user find themself in condition they didn't thought of. We can help users reach this goal by creating what is essentially a business card for each user.

P&P Wireframe

Before moving onto high fidelity wireframes and mocks, I wanted to get a feel for what the core of the app would look like when put in front of me.

WireFlow

After a sketch then I make basic wire flow which lead to making prototype of the application. Which end up in replica of application.

Style Guide

Slide 4_3 - 1.png

Utilizing a soft gradient consisting of cool and calm colors felt like the perfect fit for Mimic's branding. The blue helps evoke a happy feeling out of users , and paired with the fuchsia it creates a nice balance between calm and energetic. The main typeface of choice for the app is Karla. I felt this typeface best fit the app do to it's extreme versatility through uppercase and lowercase styling, as well as dark and light text fills.enir Light is a clean and stylish font favored by designers. It's easy on the eyes and a great go-to font for titles, paragraphs & more.

Takeaways

Being a gamer myself, working on Gamer On was Incredibly rewarding. I got to experiment with some of the new Adobe XD features, and narrow down my design process. Although I was not able to fully flesh out other features and designs I wanted to within Gamer On due to time constraints, it's not to say I won't try to incorporate them in future projects down the line.
